Pushed toward Vimeo Enterprise? Questions to ask before you sign

Being told you need an enterprise plan is stressful, especially with a deadline attached. Slow down, get the details in writing and compare before you sign anything.
Ask these before you sign
- Exactly which usage triggered this, and over what period?
- What happens on the deadline if you don't sign: pause, deletion, or nothing yet?
- Can you get more time to move your videos?
- What is the full yearly cost, and how long is the contract?
- Will the price rise again at renewal?
You're not alone
Many of Vimeo's 1-star reviews describe the same demand: thousands of dollars a year, with a short deadline. It was my story too.
“We pay $780/year for the Advanced plan, paid through Nov 28, 2026. On Oct 9, 2026, Vimeo's sales team told us our account would be paused in 7 days over bandwidth usage. Then came the price: a Custom plan at $5,900/year.”

- Enterprise and custom plans are usually quoted individually. Reviewers report quotes from about $4,800 to $7,500 a year; ours was $8,600.
