Blue Flame Media
Blue Flame Media broadcast and video production studio

Your video player should probably have a job.

Stop renting your own videos.

YOU CAN: Host them.

Blue Flame Media is video hosting for people who sell things: unlimited embeds on hosting you own, plus a marketing player that puts calls to action, opt-in gates, surveys, your own ad breaks, exit offers and split tests inside the video itself. One price. No per-viewer fees. No renewal ambush.

  • Hosting on an account you own, at cents per gigabyte
  • Unlimited embeds, unlimited domains, no viewer cap
  • Lead gates, CTAs, surveys, ad breaks and exit offers built in
  • Subtitles, chapters, signed private links and television links
  • Import a whole library by link, file or API - dates intact
  • Analytics, A/B tests and webhooks into your CRM

No card to start. Bring your own hosting keys or use ours. Take your files and leave any day you like.

A $20 bill became $650 a month. So we built this.

The video evolution

Most video players can do three things.Play. Pause. Fullscreen.

Watch the same video pick up a new job every couple of seconds. Tap any line to jump straight to it.

A normal video player

Play, pause, fullscreen. Still just using those three? Adorable.

Why video, and why it has to convert

Video is the most expensive thing on your website. Make it earn.

80%+

of internet traffic is video. It is the heaviest thing you serve, which is exactly why platforms bill you on it.

~50%

of viewers drop out before the halfway mark. Anything you want to ask them has to be asked before then, inside the player.

2 mins

is roughly where attention falls off a cliff on a marketing video. Chapters and timed offers beat one long unbroken take.

Every play

on a bare player asks for nothing. One on-screen button, or one email gate, is the difference between a view and a lead.

Figures from widely published industry research on video consumption, bandwidth share and watch-through. The point is simple: people watch, most stop early, and a player with nothing on it asks nobody for anything.

Who this is for

If a video sits between you and the sale, this is built for you.

Marketers and funnel builders

Why they use it
Every video is a step in a funnel, and the player is where the decision happens.
What they expect
Buttons, opt-ins and split tests without a developer or a second subscription.
How they benefit
Leads captured inside the video, pushed straight into the CRM they already use.

Course creators and membership owners

Why they use it
Lessons need to be private, tidy and gated by plan, not floating on a public platform.
What they expect
Folders per member, tiered access, chapters, captions and resume-where-I-left-off.
How they benefit
Content stays theirs, students keep their place, and premium lessons stay locked.

Agencies and production companies

Why they use it
Client work has to be watchable, private and branded, not stamped with someone else's logo.
What they expect
Signed links that expire, personalised watermarks, unlimited embeds on client domains.
How they benefit
One library across every client, with hosting costs they can see and mark up.

Coaches, consultants and local businesses

Why they use it
One good sales video does the selling; they just need it on the page and working.
What they expect
Paste a link, get an embed, add a Book a call button. Nothing else to learn.
How they benefit
Bookings from a video they already had, at a bill that does not move at renewal.

Publishers and channel owners

Why they use it
The same library has to reach browsers, phones and televisions in the front room.
What they expect
Adaptive streaming, television links, next-video queues and their own ad breaks.
How they benefit
Watch time and ad revenue on hardware the incumbents charge extra to reach.

Software teams and technical owners

Why they use it
Video needs to be a component of a product, not a portal someone logs into.
What they expect
An API key, structured webhook events, IDs they control and no vendor lock.
How they benefit
Uploads, playback and analytics wired into their own app in an afternoon.

Traditional video host
Excellent. That'll be another $300.

Success is the trigger for the bill. The more your marketing works, the more it costs to keep it online - and the harder it becomes to leave, because every embed on every page is theirs.

One real account. Same videos throughout.

$0a year, climbing

$20Month 1
$79Month 6
$240Month 9
$650Renewal

No extra usage. No extra bandwidth. Just a renewal email and a number with an extra digit in it.

Why this exists

We didn't set out to build a video platform. We got billed into it.

For years the bill was about $20 a month. Same videos, same handful of embeds, same modest bandwidth. Then a renewal email arrived and the number was $650 a month - for absolutely no extra usage. Nothing had changed except who was setting the price.

Paying it was out of the question. Moving meant re-doing every embed on every page. That is exactly what the pricing counts on: it is cheaper to be squeezed than to leave.

So we built our own hosting instead - faster, cheaper, private by default, and with the marketing tools the big platforms charge extra for. That is how Blue Flame Media was born.

If your hosting bill can multiply by twenty-five overnight, you don't have hosting. You have a hostage situation.

What everyone runs into

  • Renewal quotes jumping from hundreds to thousands with one email
  • Bandwidth counted against you even when nothing changed
  • Embeds locked to a plan tier, then re-priced once you rely on them
  • Your master files sitting on somebody else's account

It is not one unlucky account. On the biggest incumbent's public review page, more than 70% of reviews sit at one star, and page after page of them say the same thing: the price multiplied, the notice was one email, the answer was pay or lose your embeds.

A cartoon video player wearing a bandit mask holding up a worried marketer, who has both hands in the air

Your hosting
“Stick 'em up! Pay us 25 times more than before, or we're taking you DOWN.”

Funny until it is your embeds. This is a renewal email with a mask on.

The bill nobody warns you about

The Vimeo Kiss Of Death

Here is the trap, in plain English. You put your videos on a big platform because it is cheap and easy. Then something works - a launch, a viral post, a busy season - and more people watch. That is the good news. The bill is the bad news.

Because the price is tied to how much people watch, a good month can turn into a bill of thousands, sometimes fifteen thousand dollars or more, for the very same videos you were happily paying pocket money for. We have seen people go from $25 a month to over $20,000 for breaking a line of small print they never read. Amazon S3 and the other pay-as-you-go options do exactly the same thing, just with a longer invoice.

By then your videos are embedded on every page you own. Moving means redoing all of it. So people pay. That is not hosting - that is being robbed in broad daylight with a smile and an invoice.

That is where we come in. Our packages are built to stay affordable and predictable, so a good month is something to celebrate instead of something to dread. You will never open an email that quietly multiplies your bill.

Put your own numbers in. We won't invent anyone else's pricing - we'll just show you your own bill with the annual total attached, and what the same library looks like on storage and delivery you own.

Bandwidth is estimated at roughly 30 MB per minute of HD delivery. We do not quote other providers' prices here - only your own number, and your own usage.

That's $7,800 you could spend on literally anything else. Ads. A freelancer. A holiday where nobody emails you about bandwidth.

The same library, on hosting you own

  • 376 GB of storage, billed by your own provider at their published per-gigabyte rate
  • About 2,930 GB of delivery a month, on the same published rate
  • No per-viewer fee, no per-domain fee, no renewal surprise from us
  • The marketing player, analytics and automations included

The objection everyone has

“But YouTube is free…”Yep. And there’s a reason for that.

YouTube is brilliant when you want people on YouTube. But your sales page isn’t YouTube.

You’ve paid for the ad. Written the copy. Built the funnel. Finally got someone onto your website… and then you drop in a player belonging to one of the biggest attention platforms on Earth. Why give them an exit?

A YouTube embed lives inside the YouTube world. Viewers can meet YouTube branding, links back to YouTube, recommendations and — depending on the video and the viewer — advertising. In some cases YouTube sends embedded viewers back to YouTube on purpose.

Free isn’t necessarily free. Sometimes you’re paying with attention.

With your own player, the only journey is the one you built: your video, your branding, your call to action, your next video, your lead form, your ads if you want them, your numbers. Your customer stays in your funnel.

YouTube’s job is to keep people watching YouTube. Your video’s job is to grow your business.

Visitors walking out of a website and queueing up in front of a giant play button
Every YouTube embed is a queue. One click on that logo and your hard-won visitor is standing in someone else's platform, being recommended someone else's video.

Embed YouTube

  • Visitor watches
  • A route back out to YouTube
  • YouTube's world, not yours
  • The platform sets the experience
  • Very little marketing control
  • YouTube learns what your viewers like

Own the player

  • Visitor watches
  • They stay on your page
  • Your world, start to finish
  • Your calls to action, your offers
  • Leads, ads, gates and automations
  • You build your own customer data

You worked pretty hard to get them onto your website. Maybe don’t install an emergency exit.

What you get

Everything a video business needs, in one clean place.

No stitched-together tools, no per-viewer surprises, and no platform deciding who gets to see your work.

Hosted on an account you own

Every file lands in your own storage and stream library. You see the bandwidth, you see the cost, and nobody else holds your masters hostage at renewal.

Getting your videos in is the easy bit

Drag a video off your desktop, even a huge 40 GB one, or paste the web address of a video you already have somewhere else and we fetch it for you. If your internet drops halfway, it carries on from where it stopped instead of starting again. If you use other tools, they can send videos straight in for you - no technical help needed.

Put a video anywhere, as many times as you like

You get one short line of code to paste into your website, course or landing page - the same copy-and-paste anyone does with a YouTube video. Use it on as many pages and as many websites as you want. No limits, no extra charge.

Private unless you say otherwise

Your videos play on your pages but cannot be downloaded, copied or shared around by strangers. The links time out on their own, so nobody can pass one around a Facebook group.

Folders that work like the ones on your computer

Folders inside folders, drag videos between them, and every title, description and original date arrives exactly as it was. Nothing to tidy up afterwards.

Plays fast, everywhere

Your video quietly picks the best quality for whoever is watching - a phone on a bad signal, a laptop, or a television in the living room. They just press play and it works.

Pressing play is the least interesting thingthis player does.

Still just using play and pause? Adorable.

Go on. Press things.

It's not really a video player anymore. It's a salesperson that happens to play video.

Pick any capability on either side and watch it happen inside the player. These are the real overlays your viewers get - not screenshots.

Included, not an add-on

Two editing tools built in, so you are not paying for a video editor as well.

Most hosting stops at storing the file. Here you can trim it, join it, reshape it and build alternative openings first - all in the browser, on your own machine.

Video studio

Tidy the video up before anyone sees it

Cut the dead air off the front, join two takes, drop the sound, or square it off for social. It happens on your own computer, in your own browser - nothing is uploaded until you are happy with the result.

  1. Pick a clip from your library or your desktop
  2. Set the exact start and end, or join two clips
  3. Choose wide, square or upright
  4. Save it straight into your library

Split-test builder

Try five different openings without editing five videos

The first ten seconds decide whether anyone stays. Upload your main video once, add a short opening clip for each version you want to try, and it builds a complete finished video for each one - each with its own link, its own figures and its own watch-through rate.

  1. Add your main video once
  2. Add up to five different openings
  3. It builds every finished version for you
  4. Send them all to your library in one go

No rendering bill. The editing runs on your computer, not on a rented render farm, so there is nothing extra to charge you for and nothing metered.

Your footage stays with you. Nothing leaves your machine while you are cutting. You choose the moment a finished version goes up to your library.

Not just for people selling something.

Plenty of people here never sell a thing with video. They are explaining, teaching, briefing a team, keeping a record or simply wanting their work to play properly on their own site. The player can ask for an email - and it can just as happily play, chapter to chapter, and ask for nothing at all.

  • Teaching and training
  • Internal and staff videos
  • Support and how-to libraries
  • Clubs, churches and charities
  • Talks, podcasts and interviews
  • Selling and marketing

Mega bonus

A teleprompter that turns your phone into the camera.

The bit everyone finds hardest is talking to a camera without losing the thread. So this is built in, at no extra cost: your script scrolls at your reading speed, your phone does the filming, and the finished take arrives in your library on its own.

Questions people ask first

Do I need my own hosting account?
Only if you want one. Bring your own keys and your videos stay entirely on your account at your cost, or choose a Blue Flame Media plan and we run the hosting for you.
How big can my videos be?
Large files are welcome. Uploads are resumable, so a long film on a shaky connection carries on from where it stopped rather than starting again. One library of 376 GB came across in a single import.
Can I move an existing library across?
Yes. Import in bulk by link or from your existing hosting, keeping folder structure, titles, descriptions and original dates intact.
Where can I embed the player?
Anywhere you can paste a line of code: your website, a course platform, a landing page builder, an email landing page or a client's site. No domain limit.
Will the price jump at renewal?
No. That is the entire reason this exists. Plans are published on the pricing page, and if you bring your own keys you pay your hosting provider directly at their public rates.
What if I want to leave?
Take your files with you. They are on hosting you control, in standard formats, and nothing is locked behind an export fee.

Put your first video up in the next ten minutes.

Start free, keep your files on hosting you own, add a call to action, and never open a renewal email with a knot in your stomach again.
