Can't get help from Vimeo customer service? Your options

By Craig Crawford, founder of Blue Flame Media · 20 October 2026

When Vimeo refused to help me, my videos were still on their servers and the deadline was still running. If you're in the same spot, here's what you can do while you wait.

What reviewers describe

“What should have been a straightforward video hosting service turned into a frustrating experience filled with commercial pressure, threats of service suspension, and incredibly poor customer support.”

Get everything in writing

  1. Use email or the support form, not phone calls, so you have a record.
  2. Ask one clear question per message: the deadline, the price, or the notice period.
  3. Save every reply, with its date.

Don't wait to protect your videos

Support can take days. Start copying your library somewhere else now so a pause can't take your videos offline.

Where Blue Flame Media fits

I built Blue Flame Media after Vimeo did this to me. It is a simpler video platform with managed hosting, folders, a branded player, subtitles and analytics. You don't need any technical setup.

You can bring your Vimeo library across with the built-in Vimeo import, folders included, so you are not re-uploading hundreds of files by hand. Our prices are on the pricing page for anyone to read.

Questions people ask

How do I contact Vimeo support?
Use the help centre on Vimeo's own website. Write rather than call, so you keep a record.

Quotes are short, word-for-word excerpts from public reviews. They are those reviewers' own experiences, which we can't check. Vimeo is a trademark of its owner. Blue Flame Media is not connected with Vimeo.
